Faulty air conditioner

edited August 2016 in Toyota
About two weeks after purchasing 2016 Sienna, the air conditioner light was flashing and air conditioner would work, then stop. Another day it wouldn't work at all.

Dealership says they have never seen this before and they have no idea how to fix. Now says they are "working" with Toyota, but two days later and no word.

It's 109.  Any help would be extremely appreciated!

Thanks!

Did they give you a loaner? Or are you having to drive it?

If you are driving it, I'd take it back and yell for a loaner. Tell them it's not safe in that heat. (I'd be loving it, but that's me. :) ) If they balk at giving you a loaner, call Toyota and ask that a case be opened.

Keep track of all your visits, calls and receipts in case you need to threaten lemon law. You know what they say about the squeaky (and damp) wheel.

Thank you for replying. The Sienna is actually my daughter's, and yes, they had to use it. As of today, however, they are getting a loaner--apparently the dealer has a couple ideas on how to fix it. They also discovered that the outside temperature gauge doesn't work.

I I appreciate your information; we were discovering the same info today, so you reinforced what they need to do. Hopefully, this will get fixed and no need for the lemon law--Inwill tell them to keep records of everything.

    Thanks again!

That sounds better - you had me all hot and bothered for a while there. :)

But jeeze, a two week old car - that kind of stuff happens and that's what the warranty is for, but it's still irritating.
