Used Car Buying Advice

Hi All,

I would like to buy an used car in PA within a budget of $ 8000. The car models which I have shortlisted are mentioned below. Could you please advise which model (and the corresponding year/ mileage) would be the best for me to buy such that I can get the best resale value ?

i) Honda Civic
ii) Nissan Altima
iii) Toyota Corolla
iv) Hyundai Elantra
v) Nissan Sentra
vi) Nissan Versa

In my experience, I have found if you are interested in resale, it's hard to beat a Civic or Corolla.  People are always looking for clean examples of those for their kids.  Hyundai is improving, but I think their resale is the least of your choices, due to Hyundai doing lots of cheap lease deals.  Your mileage may vary, of course.

Which option is better in terms of resale value? A 2009 Altima 2.5S (96,763 Miles) worth $ 7000 or a 2009 Sentra 2.0 FE+ (84,085 Miles) worth $ 6750?
