HI, Subaru Forester 2016 or 2017; Honda CRV 2016, Hyundai Santa Fe 2016 or 2017- same with Tucson(maybe)

Going to lease, need dependable, less serious or constant problems.

Mechanics- interviewed a few; said to stay away from Subaru Forester unless they've corrected the many oil issues, head gaskets, timing components; said repairs are costly, take longer than other cars, longer wait time for parts to arrive.

-a few owners said they've not had problems. I can see better out of a Forester because wider windows.

Any suggestions would be very helpful, thanks :)

The Forester engine problems were for the prior (2010 and older) version. The new version has timing chains and a different head design that should stop the coolant leaks. It's extremely popular, most owners love them. Our 2007 is still doing quite well.

Thanks said, I'll be seriously considering the Mazda CX-5 next go-round. Comes out on top in many comparison tests.
