Only 27.5 percent of all hybrid and electric vehicle trade-ins in 2016 have been applied to the purchase of another hybrid or EV, according to a new analysis from car shopping destination Edmunds.com.

    Yeah well this is awfully biased because most EVs are leased, not bought, so there is no "trade-in". I'm turning my Fiat EV lease in in a few weeks and have already leased out a new one.
