2005 Kia Amanti Won't Start

Ok so I lost my keys for a week and now my car does not start, I did leave my lights on. I got a new key from the kia dealership. They said that the key should start my car. I was wondering if the 2005 kia amanti had a chip in the key and thats what is causing my car not to start. I then tried to jump my car but it did not start. It was charging and just turn over but not start. I thought it was the battery, so I bought a new battery. It still turns over but doesn't start. I need help with what to check.

Hello! I am assuming that all worked fine before you lost your original key? If the new key came from a dealership they would know about the chip and are supposed to program it for you, or at the very least tell you it must be programed to work with your car. If it does not start I would return to that dealership and let them fix their key. Again, this assumes that all worked fine before the key was lost. Good luck.
