Power Stroke or Cummins?

I just bought a used 1994 Dodge 2500 diesel planning to pull a camper. Although I like the truck, I have no regular use for it since I am no longer camping. I am told seals will dry up and lead to major repair bills if I do not use the truck enough. What would be the minimum I should drive per week to avoid unnecessary repairs?
