    "EPA estimates notwithstanding, I'd say 29.7 mpg is quite laudable for a sizable sedan with peppy performance." There ya go...screw the EPA estimate. It gets good mpg for what it is. That's the real test an owner puts it to.

    I wouldn't complain - you're already above the 'city' MPG, and within 2 points of the 'combined' MPG.
    This car is pretty impressive. My 13 Optima Hybrid is rated for 36/40 mpg, and we're getting about 32 in town, and around 40-42 highway. This non-hybrid car isn't far off that, but it performs better, I think.
