Melted headlight socket

Hey guys, a few weeks ago the driver side headlight in my car started getting dim. Eventually, the headlight went out all together. When I went to look at what the problem could be, I realized that the headlight socket was black and melted. Should I just buy a new socket? Or are the bigger problems that I should be addressing?
