    Uh, Dan -- maybe you have tried this -- may be not. If you press the little ^ arrow next to the right of the right skip track as shown on your picture -- you should be able to see what's on your device. This may be slightly different depending on what phone you have -- but on my iPhone 6, I can browse the contents of the music by clicking the arrow. Try it -- I think this is what you're referring to in this post.

    Or press menu when you're on that same screen as in your photo and "music search" comes up.
