2000 Honda CRV driver power window issue

So the issue I'm having is that my driver side power window works but it will not go all the way up it kinda sounds like a machine gun when it's about 2 inches from the top and it will not go any higher. Does anyone know what might have happened.? I was thinking maybe it got off track but I want to be sure. I really don't want to have to buy a new motor and such if it's not the issue.

    From poking around, it sounds like some gear teeth may be worn away/broken on the regulator. Your "machine gun " sound description would seem to fit with that.

    So replace the regulator then yeah.?
