I just drove off the lot this morning with the following deal.

    2017 Highlander XLE AWD
    MSRP - $41189
    Sale price - $36696
    Lease for 36 mo, 15K/yr
Paid only tax, dmv and 1st payment at closing ($1647.50)
    Payment - $381.20/month

This is at a residual of 64% and MF of .00120 in Albany, NY.

Sweet price. Weirdly dealers in Charlotte NC are not willing to reduce prices. Most I spoke are giving lease quotes on MSRP. Were any lease incentives applied?
No....I did not mention purchasing or leasing, just found the cars I was interested in at 3 dealers, emailed them and this was the best price . Reading the itty bitty fine print way under all the other cars that I was not interested in but that they sent me info. on anyway, I now see that they will be adding a dealer fee of $698.50 and an administrative fee of $698.50? and a lot of other stipulations about APR program, S.E.T/dealer cash back, advertised prices are NOT applicable on lease vehicles, prices cannot be used in conjunction with special APR, etc. I guess leasing at this price is a no go. Maybe it would be a good deal if I can get a better price and buy it, but then I would not be able to use the 1.9% APR that they are advertising:(

Targeting a 2017 HL AWD limited with Plat pack in AZ. Several quotes but not sure what to expect. Currently sitting on following offer:

    MSRP-$47,450.00, sales Price-$43,198.00 -$1,000 Rebate (expire 31 jul)=$42,198.00 Adjusted Sales Price

Plate, MVD Fee, Registration, Tag 798.92
Dealer Documentation Fee $429.00 and tax-$3,291.45

OTD is $46,717.37, only options carpet mat + cargo liner.

Good deal or not. Not sure what invoice is but some sources claim ~$42.3k.

Thoughts on the "offer" below - This is in North East Ohio

As we discussed I can do a price of $37,687 plus sales tax & fees on this 2017 Highlander SE AWD for you. The optional equipment on it are the all weather liners, a cargo net, and door edge guards.

In central California I'm seeing an average retail price of around $3,000 below MSRP, or quotes of at or near invoice price. Quotes I've been getting are for 2017 Highlander Platinum Limited. There seems to be a a limited number of Platinum Limited Highlanders available.

looking to get a hybrid XLE AWD in Southest Michigan
    MSRP $42,713
    proposed: $39,155 + tax + fees

    options:
    1. All Weather Floor Liners / Cargo Line
    2. Rear Bumper Protector

The dealer showed me that their cost was around $39,700 because they have to acquire it from another dealer.

    Thoughts?

@sancha00, I'm seeing the average discount about $2,600 off MSRP in your area. It looks like you're getting about $4,468. I would say it looks like you're getting a good deal. I'm not a fan of the doc fee of $499 but the average doc fee is $415 in CT. I think overall, you are getting a great deal at this moment in time.

    @NathanCrumback ,

Has the average discount in CT changed since this post?

    Thanks!

    Chris

In southeastern Massachusetts.  Just paid 36507 for 2017 AWD XLE with door guards and all weather mats.  Paid 399 doc fee and registration fees.  Used Toyota financing and put 5,000 down.

That's the best price I have seen. The best quote I got is still asking for $$37,078 +TTL (end of year coming and new 2018 is on horizon). If you don't mind please let me know what the dealer was. TIA.

I got an offer for a XLE FWD for $36,051. If I can go by the above price for an AWD, FWD should be around $35,051. I live in Texas.

    2017 Highlander XLE FWD
    MSRP 39800 + 894 Dealer Add-ons = $40,694
Offer/Purchase price 36726 w/o rebate. Would have been 36226 with the $500 cash back, but I opted for the 0% interest rate.

    7 yr/100K bumber to bumer warranty 2687 - 1000 rebate - employee discount = $1537.
