Transmission complaints in Hyundai SantaFe Sport 2017 2.4L

I have considering buying SantaFe Sport 2.4 with Premium Package and TrueCar has a price of $23,723 ($7,572 off MSRP of $31,295 in Southern California) which is atleast $6K less than comparable Sorrento or Highlander. But, the reviews on Edmunds, safercar_gov on transmission and delay in acceleration are quite dire in terms of safety. Are these problems more related to the models with Turbo engines/Dual Clutch Transmission. I'm thinking 2.4L may not be affected? Would like to make a decision before the holiday incentives and discounts disappear.
