Like you, I have been getting about 6.3 litres per 100 km.
By the way 6.3 litres per 100 km = 100/6.3 = 15.87km per litre x 2.34 = 37 US mpg x 1.2 = 45 miles per Imperial gallon.
Took car into dealer this past Saturday. Talked to dealership today and they cannot find any sort of hose leak, ac/heater leak, or any type of water leak coming from the engine compartment. At this point, dealership is saying they need to keep the car this week while they attempt to locate the source of the problem. Also telling me they are going to send car to auto body shop for inspection. Service manager is saying the car (any car) has "channels" molded into the sheet metal that allow for water drainage when driving in rain and/or car washing. Telling me something could be "wrong" with one of the drainage channels and a channel could possibly be blocked/damaged causing water runoff to enter the interior cabin of the car.
Note: the car has never been wrecked so there is no possibility of "unseen" or "hidden" bent/damaged water channels under the exterior sheet metal of the car.
HAS ANYONE EXPERIENCED THIS PROBLEM WITH THEIR 2009 CIVIC? Looking for any advice someone has to offer for my situation. Thanks!
BTW, the car has 101k miles and I have NO clue as to previous service or maintenance done on the car... any potential problems I should be aware of?
thanks in advance,
Keith
Just trying to reason out loud here. Sounds like a visit to a garage is in order
I just bought a 2006 Civic Hybrid, I've read the manual but it doesn't have a good explanation of the IMA display...like how should the battery charge look, or what the other displays are. Can anyone explain?
Thanks so much,
Sherry
