Ford should release this little puppy (crossover) however, it be wise to include option for larger engine considering the added weight of AWD and raised suspension -- and hopefully with improved traction/stability. This would fill the gap perfectly among Ford's larger models, other car manufactures will be providing a smaller crossover for example, the Chevrolet Spark Activ -- therefore, it's about time Ford enters the small crossover arena for 2017.

Car manufacturers designs regarding the "Sloping Downward" rear 1/4 panel seems to be an obsessive compulsive trend, that dramatically reduces cargo space, headroom for backseat passengers and poor rear-side and rear visibility. This little puppy (Ford EcoSport) isn't too bad, it's actually reasonable (visit Ford site to see more images). In the near future I hope most car makers design a gentle "Sloping Upward" with roof-line extended slightly to be part of the rear spoiler. This should give an overall sportier appearance.
If all cars become autonomous, then I suppose the dogs can seat up front for a change.
