Any how, call 800-SUBARU3 and ask for their help. Be polite and pleasant, because they an escalate a problem to the regional techs that are speciliasts and may be able to fix some of the issues you're having.
It sounds like the dealer is at least trying, given they fixed some of the problems, but if they are hit-or-miss call the number above to get more help. Good luck.

It should be interesting to see what others have to say...
My point is, I contacted the customer service at 1800......
also emailed back and forth with them. Their final word was, You can drive it so there is nothing we can do or will do. Nice?
I am talking to attorney general to see what they are going to tell them
thank you

Trying to keep the window closed when it rains in NH.
Steve
The B9 only has Auto Down for the driver's side window. It will not go back up automatically- which is somewhat annoying since my A6 has Auto down AND up for ALL windows!
I'd consider asking the dealer to remove the door panel and make sure the connectors are completely snapped into place. It's worth asking; good luck.
THEY ADMITTED THE PROBLEM AND THE FACT THAT IT CAN NOT BE FIXED!!!!!!!!!!!! Yet will not offer a refound or another vehicle this is my point

At any case- Subaru may be obligated to attempt to correct the problem; in no way should they be held liable to replace the vehicle (the car poses absolutely no threat to your safety or others, and is in perfect working condition). Unfortunately you saw the vehicle before you bought it- that is something you should have seen. At that point you may have wanted to look at another Tribeca on their lot, or another Subaru dealer and if not a consistent problem, picked a different one.
Have you in fact looked at different Tribeca's to see if they have gaps in the dashboard as terrible as yours? The Tribeca is a terrific vehicle as you know- I hope things work out for you.
YOU ARE ABLE TO DRIVE YOUR CAR safely-Finally!on the more serious note. Why do companies have their return polices?
Stop complaining, you buy a washing machine. It is dented -do not worry you can safely wash, you buy a TV set all scratched- do not worry you can safely watch it,

My '02 WRX never made such noise at startup. Any insight would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Eric
1. I never suggested that you should be apologetic.
B. Being nice makes the person on the other end more likely to want to help.
Where am I coming from? I spent 3.5 years working in a Help Desk.
You know what that's like? You show up to work, pick up the phone, and there's someone on the other end screaming at you, even though you did nothing and it's clearly not your fault.
That type of person would walk in and we'd all pretend we were busy.
We haven't even met, I'm merely trying to help, and you're already shouting at me (note the CAPS above).
Reminds me of the bad old days...

By the way - happy and safe 4th to all.
Happy 4th of July to all of You,
sincerely,

I am not some rich brat, I am a family guy who bought a defected vehicle THAT IS ALL
You should not have to do a "250 Point Inspection" but something as gleamingly apparent as a dash board panel gap should not have eluded your scrutiny- at the end you have no one but yourself to blame for this. Your reaction to a few posters emails concludes that you take the path less travelled when dealing with people, I now understand why your dealership nor Subaru are not willing to work with you.
By the way, did I mention the gaps in my dashboard are exactly even on both sides?
And thank you for your help.
You are absolutely right, I am happy, afterall I can operate my vehicle safely.
one last question to you Sir.
Lets say you provide some services, lets say you built a porch that is uneven, you client call you, you go out to inspect you work and admit: yes I am sorry it is crooked.
Your client says so when will you fix it? you say I am sorry nothing i can do about it. What do you think your client reaction would be. I am happy I can still sun tan on this porch, do not fix it and I do not want a refound?
I have been away for a while, thanks for your reply. It happened again on the way back from the fireworks... it took several trys, 8-15 times over 40 seconds to get it to respond. the dealer won't do anything until he can reproduce the problem and that seems to be the problem... reproducing an intermittant problem!
You are in NH as I recall, I am near the seacoast myself. any sugggestions... Tri-City is not being much help.
For the opther replyer, thanks, I do realize that the window is notauto up, I would be happier if it went up every time I pressed the button though.

As for the shouting, I give up. We come to a forum to try to help each other out and share information, not to provide a punching bag for frustrated folks that lost their temper.

We were just in DC today. We went to the National Zoo. Took the grandkids. That is one crazy town to drive in when you're used to York and Lancaster, PA. It's a lot easier now that we're not doing it in a Sequoia. But I still truly hate your traffic circles (Connecticut (sp) Ave).
Check out the museums, of course. Don't miss the Korean and Vietnam War memorials, a nice walk when you get time. Go up to the Lincoln Memorial and look down on the Mall, beautiful!
