    I have to wonder what all of the folks who bought or leased a pre - 2017 less range version are thinking now. At least with the lease they can walk away in a few years and try again for something with more range, BMW or otherwise. If they bought it, when they go to sell it, will be so yesterday and devalued accordingly.

    @saulster - not defending BMW or the I3 but how is this any different than mid-cycle upgrades which happen routinely to other cars. Manufacturers routinely improve their product (more power, better drivetrains, more tech goodies). This is no different.

    used... if you will recall, the depreciation of the 2014 was the worst ever for any long-term vehicle.

    still, not many CPO bmws can be had for $17,288.
