2005 Chevy tahoe won't drive in 2w drive just 4h or 4l

Tahoe won't drive in 2w it doesn't respond forward or reverse. But if I put it in 4h or 4l or even auto 4w it will drive any suggestions??? Thank you

    Have you checked the electric 4wd switch on the dash. my 2000 silverado that switch was going out, it will leave you stuck if goes out completely.

    Can someone watch the driveshaft at the rear differential as you try to move the car in 2wd? If it is spinning but the car isn't moving then you have a rear axle issue, maybe the spiders and side gears have failed. If the driveshaft isn't spinning and the engine revs freely then you have an issue inside the transfer case.
