2005 Honda Civic Hybrid Nightmare

The time has come to replace the IMA battery on my 2005 HCH and my Honda dealer is being no help whatsoever. Honda corp won't cover the cost (or even partial) of the replacement and I am looking at a price tag of $3,000 just for the battery (not including labor, etc...). The car itself isn't even worth that much at this point and had been plagued with issues since I bought pre-owned in 2007 (lemon?). I'm not in a position to pay for the replacement in full and am not sure what options I even have at this point. Any help/advice on how best to proceed would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
