Cv axle passenger side

Man i just worked on the passenger side cv axle on this v6 toyota camry...that extra. Cv axle mount was hell to work with...the screws to remove the mount were in tight spots and hard as hell to turn, not to mention the mount was imposible to remove from the axle. We had to get a shop to seperate the mount from the axle for us ... My question is anyone know any tricks to remove the axle from the mount?

    Fyi we used a 4lb hammer to get the.axle out..all focused strikes...
