Our long-term 2017 Chrysler Pacifica continues to impress with its comfort, features and an engine that sounds like it belongs in a sportier car. After 13,000 miles, the Pacifica feels like a legitimate challenge to the brands that dominate the segment.

Considering most of the editor's comments include statements like "an engine that sings at high revs" and "above 5,000 rpm" no wonder they are below 20 mpg.

I was thinking the same thing. I have the same engine in my Durango which is heavier and has AWD and I rarely see tanks below 20mpg. The vast majority of my tanks are between 20 and 22. I also love the engine above 5,000 RPM too but that doesn't mean I spend a lot of time there.

It gets tiresome to watch the ill-informed or down right stupid comments left by alleged professionals. You sure aren't getting close to 20 mpg in a full size truck if you're driving it like you appear to be driving the Pacifica. Plus these guys can't seem to distinguish their inability to operate the controls with "design flaws".. I have no significant delays in my nav or screen selection. And I've never had problems pairing my iphones to play via bluetooth. Lastly, when I travel for work (a loaded Limited only missing the video system) I have yet to get below low to mid 20's. The times that I have dropped to the high teens was during in city driving with A/C. I usually have at least 500-600 pounds aboard including the driver and materials.
