Car Buying Advice - 2017 Sonata Limited 2.4L Price Question

Hello,

I just got a quote for 21000 OTD for a 2017 Sonata Limited 2.4L MSRP 28,460.

Is this a good deal considering the promotion going on?

    I pulled the trigger and bought it. This is New Jersey. My friend and I were looking for a car and came across the Sonata and its deal with the 6000 retail cash bonus + 750 of the another promotion. We haggled all the way down to 21000 using the fact that we were looking to buy two cars instead of just one.

    Just wanted to know if the price was good or if many dealers were offering this low because this model is very unpopular.

    Sales were dropping about 31% compared to last year so they made the huge promotions. So I was wondering if the deal that I got was because of this or if it was just a good deal.

    Hi truefallacy..which dealership in NJ did you talk to? Also what was the price before TTL (tax, title...) that you paid 21K for.

    Hi kneeknow I went to Paramus Route 4. But I went with a friend who was looking for a car as well and we used that as leverage because in the dealer's eyes, they get to sell two cars to us. We went to 4 different dealers and argued with all of them for 8 hours until we got this deal at Paramus. Also, we took the last two 2017 Sonata Limited 2.4L base models that were there. They may have some with options on it left, but those are 3.5k more expensive.

    It may be better for you, if you're interested, to go with a friend looking to buy with you to haggle down the price. Good luck!
