I got a quote from the dealer on a 27 month lease, 15,000 miles, MSRP $41,000 for $465 a month, $1500 down (includes taxes, fees and first month payment). Is this a good deal? Thanks for your help.
Hi Car Man, I am currently leasing a 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited Edition at 355.89/ month. My lease agreement does not end until January but I'm already at 37,000 miles. We went to the dealership and they told me that I can return my car, lease a new Cherokee or Commander (MSRP 32,000) with 1,000 down (which is what I want) but my payments would go up to about 467/ month. Is this accurate? I'm in NJ...Do you have any suggestions? Any word on when Chrysler will come out with their "Pull Ahead Program"? The dealership told us that they stopped running it this month...
I just got some numbers which really do not make any sense. If anyone could help me out, that would be great.
06 Grand Cherokee LTD 4.7 List $39130 Sell Price before rebates $35741 resid 59% money factor .00114 7% tax included $537.44/mo for 27 months
06 Grand Chrokee LTD 5.7 List $42755 Sell Price before rebates $38988 resid 59% money factor .00114 7%tax included $595/mo. for 27 months
I am missing where the $3500 in rebates are coming into play. the dealer said they are calculated after taxes, but still these numbers make no sense. Can someone help????? This is in Illinois
I am paying $338/month for 39 months on a 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited. I put nothing down. I called my dealer today and he said I can probably get a 2006 for same price or very, very close per month. Should I go for this? I need some advice.
The 2004 lease wis up 12 months from now. They said there would be no early return penalties. Am I missing something?
The '04 was no money down. I have to see the dealer this week to see if I still am able to get the '06 with no money down. Even if it's only $1000 it might be too hard to turndown.
I just leased an 06 Grand Cherokee SRT8 as follows: MSRP-40220. Vehicle negoiated price-37763. Gross Cap cost-38536. Cap cost reduction-1125. Residual-20914. Lease/rent charge-7097. Money factor-0.0034 This is for 36 months/12000 miles per year. Your opinion?
Cuppy, can you give the details again, your monthly is not 7097, or at least I hope it isnt. What was your total out of pocket including all fees and taxes. thanks.
The 7097.is the total amount charged over the 3 years in addition to the depreciation.(Finance charge or interest). Total out of pocket was:$2000 broken down as - $714 first months payiment -$55 document fee -$101 tax on cap reduction (down payment) of $1125 I made. (optional)
I just turned in my 2004 Liberty (which they paid off the remaining year) for a GC Laredo with the QuadraII FWD... Paying $350/month for 39 months, 12k a year mi, $1000 down total... Any thoughts?
Hi okstatesrt8. This truck's lease program varies depending upon how long you lease it for and how many miles per year you need to be able to drive it. For now I will provide you with the info for a 36 month lease with 15,000 miles per year (these are very common terms). Let me know if you want something different. If you were to lease a 2006 Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland 4WD through Chrysler Financial right now for 36 months with 15,000 miles per year, its buy rate lease money factor and residual value should be .00157 and 50%, respectively. I have not seen the lease program for the SRT-8, perhaps DaimlerChrysler is not currently providing any sort of lease support on it.
Ok guys I been looking for a new car, and on my last trip I rented a CG and was very impressed. So I let me fingers do the walking.
Here in PHX (Bill Luke Jeep), a local dealer has a one listed on their web site for $25,173, MSRP $30,760. After looking in the new consumer guide I saw what the Dealer invoice is for all options. My price to them was $24,050. this is w/3K off
This is for a 06 CG Laredo 4x2 w/ PKG 28F, and 4.7 V8. They excepted the price, I'm to go back down next weekend to lease it. Now my questions, what special problems are they having on this beast? What Money factor can I be expecting? DO they have a a special 24 or 36 months lease also is 12K or 15K mileage on the special lease ?
Hi Tony. If you were to lease a 2006 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo 2WD through Chrysler Financial right now for 24 months with 15,000 miles per year, its buy rate lease money factor and residual value should be an unbelievably low .00001 and 50%, respectively. The numbers for an otherwise identical 36 month lease should be .00107 and 45%. If you were to lease with only 12,000 miles per year, the 24 month residual value would be 1% higher and the 36 month residual value would be 2% higher.
Car_man thanks for the info.... After plugging all the numbers in at Leaseguide, they are telling me my payments should be $324.56/m for 24 months 15/K mileage $286.87/m for 36/m and 15K/yr. But I see the Residual price is based on MSRP not the Cap Cost, how come ?
Thanks for all the info so far, it has helped me know more about leasing before walking into the dealer.
On the TV this evening there was a ad for a jeep GC talking about the $3K off and no payments till 2007. They were talking about leases, Car_man, what do you know about this offer ??
He left out some important info like how much the fee's are for this car. But what do you think so far ? The money factor is not in line with what you quoted me.
I would like to lease a 2006 JGC Laredo X Package with a sticker price of $31,835 and $4,000 in rebates. I have a 2004 Pacifica with 6 payments left of $381.59 each (tax included) to trade in. Here's the deal: -39 month lease -12,000 miles -no cash down -$397.49 a month (tax included) -they will eat the Pacifica's 6 payments
The original deal was $490 a month with $2247 cash down. I haggled down to the current deal.
discover3 what is your Net Cap on the Jeep ? I found out that the dealers are willing to deal on them, the GC I want, I got for 8K off MSRP and that is with the 3K....
discovery3 that isn't a good deal, if MSRP is $31K+ and the net cap is $30k+ where did that 3K rebate come into play ? Dealer invoice for the Jeep base is $25K 4x2 and $27K 4x4, the X pkg is $3278 dealer invoice. Now there is dealer hold back of 8% on MSRP that is the profit the dealer can play with... Your sounds like a 4x2 w/ 4.7 v8 that option is $635 dealer cost... Again you should be able to get that jeep for $26K... you have nothing to lose but a lot to gain.. :P
I'm sorry, I gave you the wrong net cap. All these terms confuse me! The net cap is $26K and change. The car I want is the 4x2 3.7 Liter v6 engine. When I met with the sales guy, I was not basing the lease price on the net cap of the car (oops!), but on what I wanted my payments to be based on the Pacifica. I didn't want my payments to be much higher than that. So, does the $397.49 (tax included) sound any better now?
Yes, but to go into a dealership and say, take my trade (pay it off) and I'll take your new car all for payments at about my old payments isn't the right way to go about it. But I think you can get them lower on the Net Cap for a V6 GC.. The mileage different between the V6 and V8 (4.7) isn't that much and the GC weights a lot, the V6 really suffers... I got my dealer down to to 24K and that with a V8.... :shades:
HI people! I'm looking to lease a GC Laredo with the F Pkg or the X Pkg. depending on the price I get, Right now they are offering a $3,000 rebate plus no payments until 07. Does anyone knows if this is true? How much should try to get off MSRP?? and what residual and money factor are ok? Thanks!
that is the same pkg I was looking for (F) and yes they have a 3K in rebates on the GC, the No payments are for purchases only... If you want a 4x2 w/ 4.7 V w5spd you should be able to get for 24K, that is :shades: the price I got mine for.
You're very welcome, Tony. Vehicles' residual values are always based upon a percentage of their full MSRPs, including destination charges. This is because this number is a fixed value that is easy for banks to use as a standard to base their depreciation calculations on.
Hey Tony. The deferred payment program that DaimlerChrysler was running last month was not available on leased vehicles. It was only good on 60 month loans through Chrysler Financial.
A base 2006 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo 2WD has a spread of just over $2,200 between its full MSRP and dealer invoice prices. When one adds the $3,000 lease cash that was available on this truck last month to this number we arrive at a total spread of around $5,200. You were quoted a discount of $5,145 on the truck that you are considering, so this is a pretty good deal. The money factors that you were quoted look about right as well. If you like the truck, I personally don't see any reason not to go for this deal.
Hi norbex. Both the $3,000 customer cash and no payments until 2007 are true, but they are not compatible unless you finance through Chrysler Financial at a pretty high interest rate. DaimlerChrysler's deferred payment program is only available on 5 year loans. In June is was offering 0% financing for 5 years, but this special rate was not compatible with this car's customer cash. As far as this truck's lease program goes, if you tell me how long you want to lease it for and how many miles per year you need to be able to drive it I will be happy to tell you what its current money factor and residual value should be like. You may be able to get an idea of how much you will have to pay for this truck right now by visiting the following section of this site: "Jeep Cherokee (All): Prices Paid & Buying Experience".
Greetings bamsdm. If you were to lease a 2006 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited 4WD through Chrysler Financial right now for 36 months with 15,000 miles per year, its buy rate lease money factor and residual value should be .00225 and 50%, respectively. I have not seen this truck's 27 month program recently, but it is probably similar to its 24 month program: .00147 and 57%.
I would be happy to help you out, kindzcar. Are you interested in getting an idea of what these trucks' current lease programs are like? If so, tell me how long you want to lease them for and how many miles per year you need to be able to drive them and I will be happy to help you out.
Hello all....first time I have been to this website. Okay here is want I am wanting to do, but don't know if it is feesible. I am looking at getting a 2006 GC, V6, with package 26x. MSRP is 33,995. I emailed them and they came back with an "internet special" of $28,204, including all discounts. Currently running is their "employee pricing for everyone program", but I don't know if this applies to leases. Here's the hitch. I am currently driving a 2003 Ford Explorer XLT 4x4 and owe $21,293. I am guessing based on the TMV section of this website I may get $12K-13K for it. I want to do a 3 year lease with as little down as possible and keep my payments under $560.00. Is this reasonable, or am I too far upside down on my current car? What kind of payment would I be looking at? I have very good credit, and I don't want to put any money down if I don't have to. Thanks! Chad P.S. I live in Indiana and am looking at either 12K or 15K miles per year.
Car_man! I hope you can help us out here. We are looking at leasing an '06 JGC Laredo 4x4 V6 with the 26x pkg. We have been doing a lot of reading and research but we've never leased before and need some clarification on some things.
Here's the deal we have been offered - MSRP $34,145 "Employee Price": $30,333 -$2000 cash back: $28,333 + $75 (forgot what that was for) Vehicle Price (net cap?): $28,408
36mo./12,000 mi lease MF .00119 Residual 44%
The residual seemed very low to us. Especially because we were quoted 60% on a GMC Envoy.
We haven't sat down with the finance guy yet (they were an hour past being closed and he was still with another couple) but we managed to get these figures out of him before we left.
Good deal? Not so good? If not, what would be considered a good deal? What should the MF & residual be? The more I read on these posts, it doesnt seem like the Employee Price is the best price? What should the monthly payment be? He said it would be mid to high 300s. Online calculators say differently. Should I expect any other "hidden" costs?
What are the current residuals and money factor by CFC on a 2006 Jeep Ltd with the Hemi for a 27 or 36 month lease with 12k miles per year? I see DCX has extended employee pricing in August.
Hi carman I'm looking at getting a jeep grand cherokee limited 4x4 with the 5.7 hemi. I'm interested in a 36 month lease with 12000 miles a year. I have gotten a price on one fitted how I would like it and would like to know the current Chrysler lease programs to make a deal soon. The msrp is $42995 and the final price before the acquisition fee is $33963(rebates have been included in this price 4000 to be exact). I have a feeling I can move the price down at least another 700. Any input will be greatly appreciated.
My lease is almost up and I want to lease a 06 overland with a msrp of 43415 and a lease price of 34718. I will be placing 5000 down. I know that you say that I should not put down any money but I am going to. Can you tell me what the payment would be for a 24 and a 36 month lease. Thanks a lot.
Hi bayman. Chrysler Financial's current buy rate lease money factor and residual value for a 36 month lease of a 2006 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited 4WD with 12,000 miles per year are .00225 and 52%, respectively. DaimlerChrysler's Employee Pricing promotion will run through August 31st. In addition to the ability to lease this truck at the employee price, DaimlerChrysler is providing $2,000 lease cash, $1,000 Chrysler Financial bonus cash, and another $1,000 bonus cash on V8 models that have been in dealer inventory since March 31st. Make sure that the dealer you are working with is subtracting these incentives from your truck's price. If you are not completely sold on leasing, wait until September to get your new Grand Cherokee. Rumor has it that DaimlerChrysler is introducing 0% financing for up to 6 years on its SUVs next month.
I'd be happy to estimate what this truck's monthly payment should be for you, crookster. According to my calculations, if you were to lease a 2006 Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland 4WD with an MSRP of $43,415 and a selling price of $34,718 through Chrysler Financial right now for 24 months with 15,000 miles per year, your $5,000 down, pre-tax monthly payment should be around $324. The payment for an otherwise identical 36 month lease should be around $342.
Hi Car_man, looks like lots of great info here from you :shades: . I'm ready for my 2nd trip to the dealer (Charlotte, NC) but could use more lease info:
2006 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo 2WD w/package 28F, 4.7 V8 MPI, Sirius: MSRP $30,355 Dealer throwing in Class IV hitch also.
Looking at Jeep Special Offers: Selling Price $27k, -3500 lease cash, -1000 bonus cash = $22500
Credit Score is great, looking for MF & Residual information for Chysler Financial: 24/27/30/36/39 mo / 15k miles yr / 3000 down
The dealer is doing a trade with another, thinking of going to them for a better price since its on their lot.
Carman do you know of any dealer money chrysler is offering for GC Limited 5.7 in inventory since April 06? I'm looking to lease one next week. Thanks in advance.

The 2004 lease wis up 12 months from now. They said there would be no early return penalties. Am I missing something?
Leasing is fun by the way...
I got it for 345 a month, with 590 down and I traded in my 1997 Acura CL 3.0 with 136,000 miles on it.
MSRP was 35,000 plus.
Supposedly they gave me the 3,000 cash back
They also claim to have thrown in the 1,000 loyalty for me
When I showed up to pick up the car, they wanted the first month payment, but I said yeah right, that was included, and they gave in.
I think I did okay, and most importantly LOVE THE CAR.
Hope everyone else does!
Anyone have any thoughts on installing a Sirius Sporter (don't want it on the windshield anymore if possible)
THANKS!
