Let's Talk Ford

Seems like a lot of things are going on at Ford these days. A lot of money appears to have been diverted to high tech and things like self driving vehicles. But is that money coming out of vehicle product and hurting the company customer base? The Board appears upset with the meager stock performance under CEO Mark Fields. The marketing guru has suddenly retired. But is marketing their real problem, or is diversion of management attention from their basic mission the issue? Seems like perhaps their product quality isn't always keeping pace with their competitors and that Eco-Boost might really be Eco-Bust since there appear to be complaints about performance and fuel mileage. Any thoughts or recent product experiences out there?
