Reduced engine power/traction control/Chevy Impala 2008

I'm not sure what to do at this point. Back in 2012/2013 I started having trouble with my 2008 chevy Impala. I took it back to the dealer the first time they cleaned everything and returned my vehicle. Three days later the lights were on again. I took it back they replace the throttle. A week later the lights were back on and the replaced the accelerator peddle. Drove about two weeks and the lights were back on so they replaced the sensor. Car ran fine. I moved up north and had no issues until early 2015. Lights started coming on again. I was actually on the Interstate and the car decelerated. Took it to a mechanic and they replaced the sensor again. The lights came back on today some two years later. All the times listed I spent any where from $100-$400 each time. I am supposed to start nursing school next month and I can't afford to get the car fixed. Is there anything GM can do this time. I'm supposed to leave on May 24th. I noticed that there are so many others having the same issue. Has there ever been a recall? I like my car and would like to keep it at least another year. Someone please help.

There's a GM special coverage notice HERE -- unfortunately, it only applies to 2009-2011 models, but it might have information that you can show your mechanic so he/she can figure this out.

It looks like there are a couple of '08 Impala recalls, but none related to your issue. You can read the recall reports HERE. There's also a link on the same page that allows you to report your problem to the NHTSA. Since your car slowed down on an interstate, it would be a good idea to report this safety issue.
