2001 Ram 3500 Wait to start light

I own a 2001 Dodge Ram Diesel 3500. Lately the wait to start light takes a long time to go off. This past weekend the WTS light did not come on but the engine light did. Had engine light checked and it flashed many codes. Is it possible that the intake grid heater control module is bad? Batteries?
