1998 Ram 1500 - Rpm stick and jump to 2000-3000 when step more on the pedal

Hi everyone, I have a 1998 Dodge ram 1500, lately I've had an issue accelerating. It randomly lowers to around 1300-1500 and sticks, I step on the gas a big more and it jumps to 2000-3000 rpm, any ideas? Thanks in advance!
