1999 Sierra Fuel Pump Issue

I have a GMC Sierra with a 5.7 engine. Truck quit running and will not start. If I pour gas in carberator it will run for a few seconds and quit. Fuel is making it to the carberator. I have removed the fuel pump. Took pump apart and motor on pump runs fast. Put it all back together and still will not start. I something electrical preventing gas to go into spider injectors?
