I'm specifically looking for a white 2017 JGC Limited with Luxury Group II and the Blind Spot Cross Detection packages. I've been quoted an out the door price of $41.9k. I'm putting a $8k down payment on it, have a small trade-in vehicle, and will do a loan for the rest (roughly $30k loan). This is my first big car purchase as I have driven the same little sedan since high school. Please let me know what you think of the price and any comments would be much appreciated!

Another place quoted me $44k out the door for the same car, and some research shows the fair market value for this specific car to be around $42k.

Hi @sammymh, I typically recommend researching the True Market Value (TMV) on our website to get an idea of what the estimated average sales price is (not including taxes and fees). You can compare the sales price you're getting quoted to our TMV. If the sales price is at or below our TMV, we would say that is a good deal. Obviously, the goal is to save as much money as you can, so ideally you would want to start negotiation 2-3% below the TMV.

You can get the TMV for the 2017 JGC limited by building it here: https://www.edmunds.com/jeep/grand-cherokee/2017/options/?legacy=true&sub=suv&color=

From the number's you shared, it sounds like you're getting a fair deal!
