    i have to agree with josh on vehicles with low driving ranges... it is a constant reminder of the crap fuel mileage you are getting.

    And I cannot fathom how you guys manage to constantly get such awful mileage in almost everything you drive, unless 90% of your driving is on the 405 during rush hour. I've driven similar rental Escapes for road trips/weekends and averaged 25-30 without hypermiling. Hell, I've never had a <19 MPG tank in my 2011 Mustang GT, let alone an Escape.
