Hello @kenny_h_ There were quite a few changes done for 2017. Highlights include modified exterior styling, a newly standard nine-speed automatic transmission (except on the AMG GLS 63) and a touchpad-operated infotainment system with a larger screen and available Apple CarPlay. Also, all engines except the GLS450's turbocharged V6 get a bit more horsepower this year. I am not seeing any noticeable changes for 2018.
There is zero information for 2019, but I would imagine there would be a few changes for 2019. Generally speaking vehicles do not go two years without a few minor changes. It is just to early to tell what will be different on the 2019.
Please feel free to let me know if you have any questions.
@Blake Thank you so much Blake, great info. So it should be safe to go with 17 (hopefully with major discounts) in October instead of 18. I wish they kept the large headlights of 15 or earlier models but even the LED headlamps is a good improvement over standard non LED ones. Thanks again.
Hello @kenny_h_ Thanks for the prompt response! If you can get a very sizable discount later on this year on the GLS, I see no problem going with a 2017. I would agree LEDs are always a good improvement.
Please feel free to let me know if you have any questions.
