Looking to purchase 2017 model listed in subject…. So far price I have is MSRP: $67,030 & selling price of $58,383. Considering a purchase @ 0% for 72months with current incentive. I am sure there's more wiggle room in this price.. Thoughts?

Hey @johnnyk4 Thanks for reaching out to Edmunds! I'd love to help. Does that $9,000 discount include the 0% offer? If that's the case, it sounds like it's almost all in, so to speak. I'm really liking what I'm seeing so far and think it's great, but I'll double check the numbers before I make a confirmation. Can you tell me your zip code?

@ChaseBellows - thanks for the response! Does include 0% @ 72 months with minimum of $5,000 down. Also, they would be buying out my lease 2015 Acura MDX SH AWD-Base current offer from dealer is 29,800 and payoff is $30,501.46. Zip code is 18901

Hey @johnnyk4 You're welcome! Just to make sure, that $5,000 down isn't included in that sales price is it? I've never seen GM put in their writing where there was a minimum required down payment. Odd, but I'd never tell someone to down pay less if they have the financial means. You're buying into the equity faster. I'd normally say you're paying less interest too, but well, you're at 0%

As for the Acura, I appraised at $28,500. I like the dealer's figure at $29,800! If you can get them to slightly step up to get you closer to the break even point, I'd say you'd have a great deal on your hands!

@ChaseBellows Here are the most recent numbers I have-chevy dealer claims they will fully payoff my current lease $30,501.44. Purchase price for 2017 LT4WD with captains chairs, navigation, 20inch wheels, & roof rack -exterior color is black(not an ideal color)... $839 (tax included) per month to finance 72 months with $400-500 upfront to cover tags etc. thoughts?

Hey @johnnyk4 Thanks for your reply! Regarding the full payoff on your lease, I'd make sure they aren't secretly adding the payments back into the new Suburban deal, and that they're genuinely paying off your Acura! A lot of dealers can technically say they "Paid off" your trade in, but will add the payments back into your deal. Did you happen to check on that?

As for the payments, the total amount including down payment is $60,908. If you're getting this "Out the door" price, 0% financing, and the dealer is genuinely washing the Acura, then this sounds like a great deal!

@ChaseBellows thanks for the info! How would I know if they are truly paying off vs rolling the money into a new payment? Is there anything specific I can ask to see?

@johnnyk4 Simple! Tell them to show me the money! Haha. But seriously, I'd ask them for a breakdown of how your money is being allocated. That should tell you where the money is coming from in regards to the MDX. A breakdown including all of the fees should be exactly what you need. I'm happy to review any paperwork you send our way :)
