What does it mean when the Check Transmission message comes on and a light is flashing that says O/D OFF ?

    Definitely a problem of some kind with the transmission with the light flashing. A steady light would just mean the overdrive is off. (The O/D button on your gearshift toggles this) Could be a number of things like a shift solenoid, or speed sensor. Pulling the code with an OBD2 scanner will let you know what's in need of attention.
