Car Buying Advice - Dealers wont give prices over the phone

Hi,

I'm already hating this process. Want to finance a new car (2017 Accord), have it figured out with my bank, and just want to get prices without going to dealerships. But they won't give out final, post-fees/taxes prices over the phone!

How do other people do it?

I believe from posts in the past, if you get a quote over the phone it tends to change when you get there. Best to suck it up and go to dealer.

No smart dealer will quote you a price over the phone. They know you are going to simply shop it all over town trying to maybe save a buck. As someone else said you are very likely to get lowballed just to get you in.

Do some research, decide what you think is a fair price and go offer them that. They will either say yes, counter, or simply say they can't sell the car for that!
