I hope that DRIVER AND FEZO see this post. A few days ago there was a discussion about the use of the terms "fewer" and "less". I had quite a surprise today. While in my favorite grocery store, which is managed by a former student of mine, he called me over to the service desk. He announced that he had something to show me. We walked over to the Express Lane and he pointed to a new sign which read "12 items or fewer". He told me that he had never forgotten some of the fine points that I had taught him in school. Was I proud of him? No, just bursting at the seams!

Priceless. Has to be satisfying.
Is there any chance he's a reader of our forum here and read the review of the rule?
Buying an ELR? Here's a good review of an electric vehicle with a backup engine so you're never stranded. I was surprised by the quality of the discussion in his review.

So, this is the $70K version of the Volt! Interesting!
I don't see the link, but every review (including my reaction) was that Caddy goofed big time on the pricing of this good looking toy. Most "experts" expected it to be priced in the $50k range vs. $76. You can get a Volt around here for ~$30k, before tax incentive. One Caddy dealer is advertising $15k discounts on all ELRs.
Reviews of the ELR have been underwhelming. Nice looks and interior, though. But 2x the price of a Volt and half the practicality?

All fine choices, GG. Personal preferences, but A6 and XF were the two contenders for me. Ultimately, overall experience, including price and "uniqueness" of the XF won out. Not a regret, so far.
Going to Jag dealer tonight for presentation of the F-Type coupe and RR Sport. F-Type coupe being my cup of tea.
Those Jags I see in commercials look really cool. I like when the villain from Sherlock Homes says "it's good to be bad". TaTa has really done a good styling job.

The fact of the matter is, I simply despise driving big soft luxo-cruisers of ANY make. More than once I've mentioned that when I drive a new 5 Series I can only think: "Old Man's Car"...
I believe I have also mentioned that since I was 18 or so I have been told that I will tire of small(mostly imported) sports/high performance cars and will want an obese domestic slushbox equipped four wheeled marshmallow. I'm now 57 and I have yet to discover my inner old fogey; out of the current cars that I'm considering, none weigh over 3,400 pounds or are longer than 176".
Note that I believe that being an old fogey is much, MUCH more a state of mind than being of a particular age. I know old fogeys who are in their twenties, they are already committed to an excruciating future(for me anyway) of piloting soul-murdering appliances that are about as exciting as watching C-Span at 3:00 AM...
Well, after a two year hiatus my bike is coming out of the garage today. I tweaked my left knee pretty bad a couple of years ago(a small tree fell on it. Don't ask ) and it finally feels solid enough for me to try riding again. Here's hoping it starts so that I can warm it up and at least get the oil changed...

RB, We are waiting to hear back from you, as a demonstration that you survived your 'bike' ride.
Weather and family obligations kept it in the garage. This week's projects include waking up the bike and putting the James Barone Racing rear anti-roll bar on the Mazdaspeed.
Just checking in from Cooperstown and the Hall of Fame. A dad and one daughter trip. Ended up spending more time and money than planned but every second is worth it. I tear up at Robert Clementie's plaque such a loss. I know a fair deal about Clemente but there's plenty to learn.
Meanwhile my platelets are heading down. Doc moved the appointment from late august to the first Monday of July. I think I've got a low grade. Persistent infection. I expect all to be well, but we keep losing the survivor friends and I know I'm an experiment so I do get nervous. Still expect me to still be here I. 30 years from now. Maybe by then they'll make me a host..

Good job locking it up, Snake. We just have some lock-pickers around, that's all. Guess it's to be expected with the variety of folks who've been hanging out here.
I'll have the last word on this momentous occasion.

My son drives a Buick LeSabre and he's only 29. Then again, his grandfather was the original owner.

Speaking of colors this us what I'm thinking of in a Mustang if I get one:

I also like this color blue on that particular Mitsu.
