2006 Freestyle electrical issue

I have an intermittent problem.The dash lights and guages will stop working along with the tail lights.The car won't accelerate and won't shift.Battery light will come on.The dash lights and such will come back off and on for a second while driving.New alternator,new battery installed before I bought the car 3 weeks ago.
