Hey y’all I have a 1999 Ford Explorer sport and I just changed the rear left brake caliper but when I reconnected the brake line it’s leaking brake fluid from the connection to the caliper can anyone help me figure out this issue?

A few possibilities come to mind, one is dirt on the copper washer that seals the connection. The second one is that the copper washer is missing from in between the brake line and the caliper. The third is if the caliper came with new sealing washers. There was a number of replacement washers that were produced with copper that was too hard to seal correctly and most of the time you are better off reusing the original washers.
