1995 Ranger hard starting
FORD 1995 RANGER XL starting engine with key appears to be starting, let go of key or give it gas & it dies and battery gauge drops to zero volts. It does this several times. Next hold key to keep starter running for longer period, give it a lot of gas, engine revs much higher, release key & it dies with battery voltage dropping to zero. Finally after several attempts at high rev it starts and battery voltage stays high. new battery and cleaned all connections for relays and fuses under the hood. ??
