Why is my engine sinking?
I have a 2006 Mazda 3 (2.3L Standard Transmission). I just got the clutch and spark plug replaced approximately 2 weeks ago. The car has been running great up until last night. As I pulled onto my drive, horrendous, low, growling noises began to emanate into the cab, punctuated by clanks with every push of the gas. I thought it might be the muffler. I go out this morning to check on things, open the hood and the engine is sunken in towards the center. Parts are touching that should not be touching. No leaks that I can tell, and the engine still starts and runs, though quite noisely. Is it possible that the shop that replaced my clutch forgot something that I should ask them about? Is this incident completely unrelated to a clutch repair and, bottom line, what do I do and I how can I do it remotely cheaply?

Yes, it could be directly related to the clutch replacement. A mount not installed correctly, bolts missing, etc.
Was this by chance a cut rate shop?
If it was, it will be your word against theirs and that's a tough spot.
The best thing is, if you know someone who knows about cars, have them look and see what is missing or broken.
But you need to call the shop that did the work and give them the chance to look at it and see if it was something they did. Since the transaxle is mounted to the engine, it could be a lot of things improperly installed or reconnected.

Hopefully, it is something they can take care of and work with you on it.
That being said, I realize it is an inconvenience for you, but if it is something they didn't get done right and they make it right and step up and take care of it, it says a lot for the honorable actions of the shop and you may want to continue to use them.
