05 Chevy Impala over heating

i have a 05 impala , that i sent to the shop due to over heating issues. i paid out the butt for the gasket job, a week later i get it back and by the time i made it home , the overflow was overflowing. The car didnt over heat or give any signs. So i changed thermo, and still the same. runs good at idle, fans come on as they should. But if you drive it around the block ,coolant pours out of the overflow tank!!!! Can ANYONE help me with this issue (3400-v6)

    Possibly an air lock in the cooling system.
    Did they bleed the air out of the system properly?
    Why didn't you take it back to the shop that did the work?
