Overheating Possible faulty thermostat

Hello, last week my 2011 Subaru Outback overheated. Coolant levels were fine besides losing coolant from boiling out of the reservoir. Let the car cool down overnight in a parking lot and the next day tried to drive to the mechanic and it overheated again in a few minutes. Got the thermostat replaced and flushed and replaced all the coolant. Car was running great! Drove around 400 miles over the next 3 days. Today the car overheated again after a 18 min drive of errands. Curious if the new thermostat was faulty. Other possible issues like water pump and head gasket don’t line up since I drove so much after replacing thermostat. Waiting for multiple call backs from mechanics so figured I’d reach out here. Thank you.
