Is there an easy fix for 2004 Tribute Onboard Diagnostic system that won't reset after 1000+ miles?
Driving a 2004 Tribute, 150K+. I had the alternator and starter replaced. A few weeks later, it was time for an inspection (in NJ) but it failed because of the onboard diagnostics not resetting completely...I was told to "continue to drive the car...all it needs is to go through a few cycles and it will reset." Here we are 1000+ miles later and 4 trips to inspection center and it hasn't reset. Mazda wants $200+ to take a look at it. I am looking for simpler and less expensive options if you have any. Thanks.
