2003 Forester Power Window Failure
My driver side window recently failed. While pushing the switch down the window would start down then stop and start again in conjunction with a clicking sound like a relay coming from the door. This starting and stopping would continue until the window was down. Then shortly afterwards there was smoke rising from the switch panel and the smell of electronics burning. Is there a relay located in the switch mechanism that could burn? If not it must be the motor but the smoke was coming up from the switch panel. Has anyone else experienced this type of failure?
