while having problems getting my Sonoma started and after turning engine over repeatedly, all power cut out, dash lights, all power, power came back on after a few minutes including dash lights but when I tried to engage starter I heard a loud click from under the hood and all power cut out again, this happened several times until power would not come back on, could it be a fuse?

Check your battery terminals and make sure they are clean and tight.
Make sure the cables are in good shape and clean.
Then if the terminals are clean and tight and it still won't start, check battery voltage.
