My 97 geo metro 4dr Lsi 1.3l sometimes stalls in stop and go traffic?

My service light stays on. The mechanic says it is because I need a fuel tank pressure sensor. I haven't been able to find one anywhere? I tried Summit Racing, Ebay, Rock Auto and Car Parts.

Hello, I looked up your vehicle on the GM site and the only thing I could find even remotely dealing with fuel pressure or sensors (other than the fuel pump) is a sending unit which controls the fuel gauge, and a pressure regulator. I would ask this mechanic to explain in detail what he or she is referring to. And then ask where one might find information on this item. Good luck!
