Question - Impala repair options?

I bought a 2005 impala just a month ago thinking it was a great deal with decent mileage, but this car is painful. The window regulator is out which someone told me is common. I had to replace the break line and now I'm told that I either need a new transmission or it could be a solenoid. I wish I would have done my research before buying. Is getting a used transmission better or Having the old one rebuilt? Plus the instrument cluster doesn't work.
