Humming noise on top of engine

Hi everyone,  has anyone experienced a humming noise coming out in the area around the top of the engine? This noise comes on when the car is startd and goes for about a minute , a minute and a half and then stops. It doesn't come on when the engine is hot.

it may be related to the quick antilock braking system test which occurs about once per day after a cold start when you first attain 5 or 10 mph.
