2006 Chevy impala speedometer going haywire!

My 2006 Chevy impala speedometer is going haywire when at a stop light, the air keeps switching to the outside air and inside circulation and then blows hot and back to cold, and my display says speed limited to 107mph, when I take off from the red light...the acceleration is lost and then comes back slowly and gradually builds back up to speed The speedometer sensor was changed but it is doing the same thing. Any thoughts of what direction I should go? My transmission guys think it is electrical. I did have some work done... a transmission Fluid Cooler Outlet Line repaired, a power steering pump replaced and silicon oil and transmission pans installed, air coolant in my a/c ...do you think my mechanic knocked something loose during repairs? Thanks in advance!

I'd go with checking the battery for being weak.

Check the grounds that feed off it and make sure they have good solid connections. That means loosening and cleaning them or at least loosening and wiggling. Does the positive red cable have more than one at the battery? If so, check the connection between those two for corrosion. The lesabre/Bonnevilles had two positives connected by a lead spacer and that corrosion could affect the power to the second cable in odd ways.

If battery and alternator show no problems, then somebody working on it has done something...

No...I have a brand new battery. This is definitely not the problem. I have a Chevy impala and not a Bonneville. I will be putting it in the shop on Monday, so I will keep you updated.
