We knew that most Accord buyers will choose the 1.5T, so we got that one. We went with EX-L for a few reasons. First, buyers typically choose a trim in the middle of the range, and the EX-L is similar enough to the uber-popular EX that most of our opinions would apply. It's difficult so take our opinions of the Touring and apply it to the rest of the lineup, as the Touring has adaptive dampers unique to that trim, which gives it different handling and ride characteristics than any other trim. Finally, stepping up to the Touring commands a $4,000 premium over the EX-L, and we think a nearly $35,000 price tag is a bit high for most buyers.
That said, if you'd like to know more about the Accord Touring, the rating on our model review is based on a Touring with the 1.5T engine.
