It's summertime, but we aren't driving our 2018 Mazda CX-5 as much as we could be. For all its crossover goodness, the CX-5 isn't inspiring a lot of love from our team. Then again, we're only 6,000 miles into the test. It's still early.

    I just left this in last month's review: can you please tell us how the Soul Red Crystal Metallic paint is holding up? I hear horror stories of significant chipping, especially (but not limited to) the hood and the front bumper. I'd like another data point.

    And is acceleration really all that horrid?
