Driving down the road in 1999 chevy tahoe pulling a trailer, the truck loses power.
Advice? Cadalitic converter and fuel pump were just replaced. Also, the car will turn on, but wont accelerate.
I’m having the same issue. I have an 2004 Tahoe. Seems like soon as engine gets warm that’s it. Starts acting like catalytic converter is plugged. Can even put hand over tail pipe. I’ve replaced fuel filter air filter mass air flow censor. Went to have catalytic converters replaced today and mechanic says he hooked it up to computer. Code u-1000 came up. He says it’s a bad ground to computer. I’m taking it to different shop Monday to have them look at it.
I recently experienced the same issue with my 2013 Chevy Tahoe. I was hoping to find a solution on this site. While driving, my vehicle briefly shut down...it was like everything electrical and mechanical failed for a half a second or so. After regaining power, I finished my 35 mile commute. A few days later after completing a short three mile drive, my vehicle lost all power again. FOB, door locks, and nothing after turning the key to accessory. Any tips, comments and / or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
I have a 2002 Tahoe. Loses power while driving, I pull over to side of the road where it stalls out. I have to wait a few minutes b4 restarting. It goes a few miles and does same thing. I've had a tune up; starter changed; new battery; new fuel filter; it still does it. I'm wondering if fuel line or God forbid a new fuel pump. I'm a 67 year old woman on social security looking for practical advice, Please Help. Thanks.
